Your tweets are just lists of your blog posts, which are available via RSS. To use twitter effectively and encourage people to follow, you should offer something unique. Maybe short ideas that aren’t long enough or worthy enough of a full post, or perhaps asking a question to get feedback- which really utilizes twitter as it is meant to be used.

You should consider posting to http://identi.ca – an open source alternative to Twitter. Also, if you really want, they have a bridge set up to also post your message to your Twitter account automatically.
