the best tv channel listings app for the iPhone i have found is: WHAT’S ON? (by Napkin Studio) available on iTunes Store.
i entered in my location, my cable carrier (can also do digital channels, HD channels, and satellite), and the channels i wanted.
you can add shows to your favourites, either by episode, or just show, and set reminders.
once you set your location, WHAT’S ON? will also pull in movie listings from theatres.
you can also keep up on celebrity buzz if you choose.
portrait view gives you 1/2 hr slots. landscape view gives you 1 hr slots.
you can search by date (about 2 weeks in advance), or show title, or channel.
my g/f and i have WHAT’S ON? installed on our iPhones, and this way we keep track of our favourite shows.
give it a try. i find it quite reliable and very useful.

Wow, that’s a really cool app. I guess one more reason for me to get an iPhone. I can definitely see myself going through movie reviews and trailers when I am on the tram or train.

The search feature is meant to bring up movies and TV shows only. It shouldn’t bring up anything related to your query, by design. I would suggest Google for your question…
