Computer users resize their web browser window to any size that is convenient for them. This is a fact that site developers need to factor in while designing a website. Ideally, a developer will work towards having his website’s layout adjusted according to the dimensions of the browser window.
To preview this, there are various tools available that simulate a number of predefined browser resolutions in which you can preview your websites. But the mentality of fixed resolutions does not let you test random-size dimensions. Here to help you with that is a web app called Ish.
Ish is a free to use website that aims to help developers preview their website in various resolutions. The site does not require you to register for anything or create any new accounts. To begin previewing a website, you have to type in its URL in the top left URL box. Next you select the previewing size from the options present in the top right corner.
These options correspond to Small, Medium, Large, and Extra Large. Rather than focusing on fixed resolutions, these options offer you size ranges that are a better test of layout compatibility.
You will notice a size option available that is labeled Disco. Using this option keeps switching your site preview between the S, M, L, and XL sizes. Apart from this being a good previewing test, the Disco option creates a cool effect that can add to the appeal of any presentation you are giving.
