Last week we asked you to tell us whether or not you hated websites which forced you to use a Facebook login. It turns out that most MakeUseOf readers hate using Facebook logins to access third-party websites.
With 761 votes, readers were divided like this: 92% readers hate websites which force them to use a Facebook login; 6% of readers don’t care if a website demands that they use a Facebook login; while 2% of people actually like to use a Facebook login for websites.
Full results and this week’s poll after the jump.
It’s clear to see that forcing people to use a Facebook login to sign into your sebsite or service is an unpopular idea.

This week’s poll question is: Will You Rush Out To Get The iPhone 4S?
Apple are geniuses at getting people to upgrade their iPhones and it seems there’s no shortage of people desperate to get the new iPhone 4S, despite the fact that the world was hoping for an iPhone 5. But are MakeUseOf readers the sort of people who rush out to buy the latest and greatest or not? Let’s find out!
For those of you sticking with your current phone or who aren’t in any hurry, let us know why in the comments! Are you an Android lover? Is your old iPhone still serving you well?

I had the iPhone3s, upgraded to the iPhone4 in June and it is just fine for now.
Yeah, they can’t expect you to upgrade that quickly!
It strikes me that a poll with an emotive question containing ” do you hate” is bound to get lots of positives would be interested to see the result if the question was framed in a more neutral way
It’s true, but that was the sentiment buzzing around the internet, so I went with that.
Should have the option of voting for “No, I’ll be getting a better phone.”
Heh, perhaps.
I do not now, nor will I ever, ever have an Apple product.
should have said, I do not now, nor will I ever, ever OWN an Apple product.
Wow. That’s a big stand against Apple!
Angela, there are MANY people out here in the world of technology who have an avid DISLIKE of Apple products. Despite all the hubub and hype behind the iRevolution, many of us are not interested in feeding the beast.
I know. Just saying that it’s a firm stance. Not meaning to imply that it’s completely unique or anything.
Waiting to see how the latest Nexus turns out before making any new 2 year commitments. I can’t see myself going with something that doesn’t have LTE since I’m grandfathered in to unlimited data on Verizon.
Nice plan and reasoning!
I bought a Samsung Galaxy S2. Better than an iphone.
Nice choice!
care to justify your word?
Getting into a 2 year contract with a phone that does not support 4G/LTE is not a smart choice for me. Having more processing power, but still on a slower network, does not sound appealing.
And fair enough, too!
LOL!!!! Ethosmm, you have fallen for the name trick…. The 4G LTE is just a 3G phone that in 10 years MIGHT possibly have the network support to actually reach 4G speeds. That is essentially what the “LTE” refers to.
The current towers, satellites, and signal speeds and strengths barely support a 3G network, and will not be able to support a 4G network for at least another 2 years in major cities and another 5 years in smaller cities.
Useful to know – thanks for sharing!
Android
Right with you there!
Bought iP4 on April, am still under contract with silly Softbank(bad 3G reception in Yamanashi, Japan)
used the voice control on iP4, and read the lists of what SIRI can do, not much of a deal. lol I have real friend, I`m not that desperate to talk to a PHONE!
the higher GPU and Processor is good, but, heyyy technology expands every seconds, and I`m not in “I Own The Latest Model” award.
IMO, I better put up with the current iP4, and wait for iP5 atleast. or should any other mobile overpower iP4s in the later, I`ll buy that. Conclusion? lol it`s just a phone.I have DSLR for picture taking, I have i7 rig for game, and surely I`m not that into playing game using fingers`s touch with a small display, in iP4 I got 3inch display, at home I got 32ich display, so no I don`t think I`m into iP4s.
doh, what`s a phone for? calling and for text.
but that`s what I think, perhaps there`s others who loved to.
pardon me for my bad English.
Yeah, sometimes upgrading is just a silly idea. And your English is fine – don’t apologise for it!
I too agree with you.I think apple launched iphone 4S in order to keep up with other dual core androids.
So, Apple basically just want to make sure they always have one of the leading products on the market.
I have the iPhone 3Gs. Time for an upgrade
I’m sure Apple love you.
Because it is not the iPhone 5 I was hoping for and I don’t want to end up with a 4 and within 8 months the 5 arrives
I’m guessing there’s a lot of people following this exact train of thought.
I’m still in a current iPhone contract. But I’m totally jazzed about the new iOS coming. New iPhone? I’ll wait until my contract has ended.
Now there’s a completely different Apple product to get all excited about – and it won’t involve new contracts.
Personally what I truly need a mobile telephone for is for me to “telephone” people about a subject that cannot wait until the next time I see them in person and who are currently too far away for me to go and visit them in the near future OR for a range of selected people who I have given my mobile telephone to to call me for the same reasons.
Otherwise everything else that is on the so-called “Smart” telephone is just an extra that I can “Make Use Of” if I feel like it and just maybe if I am not doing something else more important with my time (haha that’ll be the day!)
Yeah, my phone gets most of its use when I’m stuck waiting for things and decide to catch up on RSS feeds or Reddit. Sad, but true.
