Did you net yourself a bargain during last week’s Black Friday promotions? Too bad if not, but we’ve got promotions every week in our Apps on Sale columns. Despite all the sales last week, there’s always something interesting going for cheap on the App Store.

This week we’ve got a couple of old school arcade games, a classic iOS talking toy and quite possibly the platform’s best board game on sale for the first ever time. Let’s take a look at this week’s Apps on Sale.

Apps

Loopmash for iPhone / iPad ($1.99/$5.99, now free)

Loopmash is a great way to quite literally mash-up pre-recorded loops on your iPhone or iPad. Built by Steinberg – the guys behind industry standards like Cubase – the app features over 200 in-built loops, with more available for purchase in-app.

Chronicle Touch ($3.99, now free)

Often need a reminder when it comes to paying bills? Do you get stung with late payment fees, just because you’re forgetful? You need something like Chronicle Touch, a bill payment reminder service. The app can remind you to pay, plus keep a note of payment confirmation numbers so you always know if you’re up to date.

Talking Carl! ($0.99, now free)

An iOS classic, Talking Carl! is one of those interactive toys that gained popularity during the iPhone’s formative years. Not only can you prod, tickle and maim Carl, you can also talk to him and have him repeat everything you say. If you have two iPhones handy then it’s well worth getting them to talk to each other.

Petting Zoo – Animal Animations ($1.99, now free)

Currently Apple’s App of the Week, Petting Zoo is essentially a set of interactive animations blended seamlessly into one story-book like experience. Despite primarily being aimed at the younger generation, Petting Zoo is easy to appreciate regardless of age.

Games

Bejeweled for iPhone / iPad ($3.99/$0.99, now free)

Don’t miss out, for a limited time you can get both the standard and HD (iPad) version of PopCap’s classic Bejeweled for free. If you’ve never discovered the addictive gem popping nature of this game, or simply put it off for another day, now is the time to grab it.

Carcassonne ($9.99, now $6.99)

A famous, much revered board game and now fantastic iOS multiplayer experience, Carcassonne is one of the best board games you can hope to play on iOS. If you’re interested in an award-winning table top experience then Carcassonne’s first ever App Store sale provides the perfect excuse.

R.TYPE ($1.99, now $0.99)

DotEmu are the guys who bring a lot of arcade classics to the App Store and to celebrate their release of the Double Dragon Trilogy they have a few promotions, starting with classic side-scrolling shooter R.TYPE.

Raiden Legacy ($4.99, now $1.99)

Along the same lines, also from DotEmu, comes Raiden Legacy also of arcade fame. There were four Raiden games released in the arcades, all of them top-down vertical scrolling shooters, and you’ll find all four included here.
