Each week we scour current App Store promotions, of which there are thousands, to bring you this column. This week we’ve found a top synthesizer, classic JRPG plus a remastered point and click adventure.

Unfortunately due to the fleeting nature of app sales, if you’re reading this in the future then you might have missed out. Not to worry, simply check back earlier next Friday for another round of savings!

Animoog ($31.99, now $15.49)

The Animoog is Moog’s incredible attempt at an iOS synthesizer. Designed exclusively for iPad, Animoog uses the company’s Anisotropic Synth Engine to enable the creation of some weird and wonderful sounds. It might be an expensive app but it’s a steal at half price.

ProCamera 7 ($2.99, now $0.99)

Recently featured by MakeUseOf when Bakari took a look at the update, ProCamera 7 is a big step up over the last version offering a completely redesigned iOS 7 aesthetic, powerful photo controls and for a limited time a very attractive price tag indeed. Outline+ ($14.99, now $0.99)

Rarely are the savings as good as this! Outline is a $15 note-taking app that’s currently dropped all the way to a measly 99 cents. The app uses a sophisticated set of drawing and note-taking tools, as well as compatibility with Microsoft’s OneNote, to make your iPad even more productive.

Final Fantasy V ($16.99, now $11.49)

Last week it was Final Fantasy VI, and this week we’ve regressed to the fifth outing for SQUARE ENIX’s hugely successful JRPG. Featuring turn-based combat, an in-depth levelling system and old school 2D graphics, save 30% for a limited period.

Broken Sword: The Smoking Mirror Remastered ($4.49, now $0.99)

The Broken Sword titles were a series of point and click adventure games released in the mid to late 90s, a genre that unfortunately died a death and still hasn’t really recovered. Just like Shadow of the Templar, this second title fuses adventure and humour together through pointing, tapping and dialogue (it’s a point and click, after all).

AVP: Evolution ($0.99, now free)

Aliens meet Predators (are you surprised?) for the first time on iOS in this surprisingly good action game from Fox. While it looks a little generic on the surface, the game allows you to take control of your own extra-terrestrial beast with upgrades and unlockables available for each.

Stickman Downhill ($0.99, now free)

The concept behind Stickman Downhill might be a very simple one, but that’s not stopped millions of players from getting on-board. Take one stick man and one bike, add a downhill course, ultra-realistic physics and pleasing visuals and you’ve got yourself a best-seller. Grab it quick, while it’s free.

That should keep you busy for this week, remember to check back next Friday for even more Apps on Sale.
