Schools these days are taking advantage of the Internet and all it has to offer, in a bid to raise their profile. This can then lead to more new students, both from home and abroad. Some US schools are considered to be the best in the world, and some are household names – Harvard, Stanford, MIT….a degree from a place like Harvard will set you up with a great career for life. And these schools are increasingly being plugged into the world wide web.
Our infographic today comes courtesy of Best Education Sites. As the infographic points out, the web can make or break a school these days. They need to have a well designed website and they need to be connected to social media in order to attract the web 2.0 crowd.
Are you a member of any of the listed schools? If so, how seriously would you say your school takes social media and the web in general? Did their web presence significantly influence you to apply to them? Let us know in the comments. Oh and if you feel that your school has been unfairly ignored on the infographic, tell us why it should have been included!
