Android App Distribution – Best Practices To Achieve Maximum Exposure [INFOGRAPHIC]

Did you get an Android smartphone for Christmas? You can bet that the number of Android phones sold during the holiday period has skyrocketed and all those new phone owners will be looking for some nice new shiny cool Android apps to install, to get the most out of their new device. If you are an Android app developer, this is the golden moment to get your app out there in front of all those eyeballs.

The infographic today, gives us the lowdown on this very important subject.  After all, with over half a million Android apps out there, with more being added every day, you need to have some kind of strategy for making sure your cool little app, that you worked so hard to create, doesn’t get lost in the noise. You can’t just throw the app into the Google Play store and hope for the best.  App development is just one step of the process – then you have to market the hell out of the thing.  For example, you are not limited to the Google Play store for the app.  Amazon also does Android downloads for example (see the infographic for details).

Let us know in the comments if you are an Android app developer. If so, how easy or difficult is it to market your app effectively?  Which sites do you promote it on?  And what success tips can you offer the rest of us?
