iLike-Music Social Networking Like Never Before

Aannnnnd I am glad to be back to music, today we got iLike, new booming music discovery slash social networking website. It’s a place where you can build your music profile, find out what music your friends like, meet people with similar music tastes and get access to lots of free GarageBand MP3s. And the best part iLike does all the work for you, all you need to do is to create account, add some friends and keep playing your tunes as you would normally. iLike comes with media player sidebar which you need to install to enjoy it 100%, it currently works only with Apple iTunes player(download here). With sidebar running while you listen to your music;

• it posts everything on your profile and other members can see what you listening to at the moment(you may exclude some lame artists you listen to but don’t want other to know)
• it communicates with iLike to find people with similar music tastes
• finds related songs from other artists and GarageBands. All garageband MP3s can be downloaded for free on the spot
• you can make iLike create playlists for by entering artist or song name
• you can browse through your friends and see what are they listening to
• and some more cool stuff here

On your account page you can always see songs played by your most-compatible friends, items recommended by iLike and other members with similar tastes. I really liked their search feature which for each search gets you top played songs, people who like that artist,top listeners,all albums,related free mp3 downloads and so on. Check out couple of searches here eminem, red hot chili peppers.

There is also iLike batch that you can integrate into your myspace profile and let others know your recently played and most played tunes.
