Battlefield 3, one of the biggest video games of the year, has received a large patch for the PC. The update comes in at about half a gigabyte. The list of improvements is long, and much of it seems to be exactly what hardcore Battlefield players were looking for. Many of the principal ones involve fixing issues that caused the game to crash for some players. The “black screen” error should now be fully resolved, and joining games will be a lot smoother.
They have also made substantial improvements to the squad management screen. EA removed the “Find me a Squad” button and now lets players join any squad they want, including an empty one. They also made the squad selection screen more organized and easier to navigate.
Dual monitor support is vastly improved with this new update. Some Nvidia graphics cards were experiencing issues with the games graphics, and that appears to have been addressed in this update as well.
They have improved spawn points, so you should not spawn right on top of an enemy. When you start cooking a grenade and die, the grenade no longer disappears and will drop to the ground and explode.
Overall, there are 33 updates and improvements with the patch. Check out theirfor a more detailed breakdown of the changes.
