First, you have to unlink OneDrive. Find the OneDrive icon in the taskbar, right-click on it, and select Settings. Then do the following:

  1. Under Settings, uncheck all boxes in the General area.
  2. Under Account, click Unlink OneDrive to stop syncing OneDrive to your computer. Then click Choose Folders and uncheck all the folders therein.
  3. Under Auto Save, set every option in the Documents and Pictures area to This PC Only. This prevents files from being auto-saved to OneDrive.
  4. Click OK to apply changes.

    Why is this not a option? We have to dig through registry. MS is ridiculous at times.

      Yeah, I wish MS wouldn't make it so hard to disable things we don't like. Argh!

    Why would you hide One Drive if your not going to see it or interact with it what is the point of you to hide it?

      The icons take up space in File Explorer and in the System Tray. They're harmless and it's easy enough to ignore them, but it's also nice to clear up some clutter!
