You have to be part of the partners program to have a personalised header.

I think you need to change your YouTube status (I’m not sure). If you look at the first box on the top left hand corner of the Royal Channel page (underneath the user photo), it says “DIRECTOR”. That is the Royal Channel’s YouTube status. There are also other YouTube status’s such as “comedian” and so on (The Monty Python channel is “comedian”).

Depending on your status, you can have other features opened up to you including personalised headers. I am not sure if you have to pay for it or not. I am not familar in this area as I have never changed my YouTube status.

If you go into your account settings, there is an option there to change your status and if you change it, you will probably be told what is on offer.

That’s great, but what I’d like is a customised header with navigation like http://www.youtube.com/user/TheRoyalChannel

Any ideas or do you have to be royalty to get this?

Very nice article. I have been thinking about starting to upload to You Tube for a while, and this will be very handy for when I start. Thanks for the information.
