Today’s cellphones are little computers that let you execute almost all types of tasks. These smartphones let you make calls, send text messages, take notes, set reminders, shoot photos and videos, and do a lot of other things. For almost all of these features, you need to run separate applications and just like you switch between different tasks every time, you need to switch between the different phone apps associated with these tasks.

Normally to switch an app, you would exit the current app, go to your home screen, find the app to access, then open it. Repeating this procedure each time you need to access an app can be very inconvenient. Here to make the task easier for Android phone owners is a tool called HomeFlip.

HomeFlip is a free to use smartphone application that is compatible with Android smart devices. The app is sized at nearly 40 KB and requires your smartphone to be running version 4.0 or later of Android. By using this application you are able to more easily switch between phone applications. When you are in the middle of an app, simply press the Home button to quickly switch between recent tasks.

Of these tasks, you can swipe your most used ones to the left to mark them as favorites. You can also swipe tasks to the right to mark them as hidden. Interface options let you modify the task spacing, task size, transparency levels, and more.

Looks pretty cool. I use SwipePad for the same thing and find it to be pretty nice. I might give this a look though. Anyone else use SwipePad?
