There’s nothing like free streaming music to get everyone rocking. Now, users of Nokia Lumia can sing songs of cheer as Nokia Music arrives on U.S. shores. The Nokia Music streaming service debuted in Europe first before coming to the U.S. and it works straight out of the box. You just need a data plan on your Lumia smartphone to download the songs and enjoy.
Users of Nokia Lumia 900 and Nokia Lumia 710 have a choice of 150 exclusively curated playlists across a range of genres from underground Detroit house tracks to New York Philharmonic favorites. Popular global artists of the likes of Lana Del Rey, Lady Gaga and Rihanna are also well represented. All you need to download the advertisement free songs is the Nokia Music app from the Marketplace.
You can even create your own customized playlists which the app can create based on what you like from its million strong song library. Apart from enjoying songs online and offline, travelling consumers can use Nokia Music’s ‘Gig Finder’ which uses geo-location data to display live concerts, gigs and shows taking place near the locale. What’s great is Nokia Music does not even require a registration. This undiluted cleaner experience really sets it apart from other streaming services like Pandora and Spotify.
As Jyrki Rosenberg, VP of Entertainment at Nokia said in the press statement,
I would like to challenge everyone to try Nokia Music and see just how easy and enjoyable the service is to use.
