If you use Google Hangouts On Air, you probably use Hangout Toolbox and it’s Lower Third feature. And if you use Lower Third, you probably wish it were more customizable. Well, it is – you can use it to overlay graphics. The problem: if you want a really unique look, you need to design the graphics yourself.
If you only want a semi-unique graphics, however, you should check out HangoutMagix. This simple web app allows you to create your own graphical overlays using your own text and a variety of pre-made vector images. Simply type the information you want to share, explore the various options and you’ll have a good-looking G+ overlay in no time:

If you want to add a professional look to your regular hangouts this is a quick option – if not a perfect one. A watermark will be added to your hangout if you use this, and there doesn’t even seem to be a paid option for removing it. Still, it’s a quick way to design good-loooking overlays, and it’s free, so there’s not a lot to complain about.
