GroupVox: A Walkie-Talkie App to Talk With Your Facebook Friends [iOS]

Ads by Google

If you have ever used a walkie-talkie as a child, you already know how much fun these devices can be when it comes to staying in touch with friends. Today we hardly get to use any walkie-talkies in our daily lives. To stay in touch with our loved ones, we simply use online social networks where we can connect with friends via text, images, and videos; but our social networks still do not allow the group conversations that are so conveniently offered by walkie-talkies.

Here to add this fun feature to Facebook, is an iOS application called GroupVox.

GroupVox is a free to use phone application that is compatible with iOS devices. The app is sized at nearly 4 MB and requires your iPod Touch, iPhone, or iPod device to be running version 5.0 or later of iOS. Using this application you can converse with your Facebook friends in a manner offered by walkie-talkies.

Your Facebook friends must be using the application at their end too and you simply keep a button held on the phone to speak; then your friends respond in the same way. The app offers one-on-one sessions as well as group walkie-talkie sessions. The app works with your people in your Facebook friends and Facebook groups; it can work over Wi-Fi and your data network.

  • A user friendly phone app.
