We have all found ourselves calculating how long it will be before we purchased a certain item. But factoring in all our expenses and expenditures can be difficult if we do it manually. Here to provide you with the extra help you need regarding this matter is a web app called Grndctrl.

where your money goes

Grndctrl is a free to use application that helps find out the time period you will need to wait before you can buy the items you want. All you have to do is create an account on the site and then enter your sources of income and expenditures. With each income source you can enter a percentage deduction to signify taxes, with each expenditure you can specify their frequency e.g. monthly. You can also include your savings in the bank along with the interest rate. Finally you type in the items you want to buy under the “Rewards” tab.

Your data for the monthly income is computed by the site and displayed as a pie chart. A savings graph reveals how your savings will progress over the coming months.

At the bottom of the site you will find that Grndctrl has calculated the period you will need to wait before you can buy your Rewards.
