Google’s efforts to take over every form of media and entertainment have taken another big step forward with the announcement that Google Play movies, TV shows, and music will be available on Google TV. This brings the service to yet another level of usability.
Google TV, which launched in 2010, allows users to view content from all kinds of Internet sources. Users could watch Netflix, Amazon, and other popular services through a Google TV, but the addition of Google Play’s content improves the whole experience. Now users can add a giant list of TV shows, movies and music offered by Google Play to the already impressive list of items available on Google TV. Those, plus regular cable or satellite, should keep users entertained and busy forever.
Google also announced that purchases made using other Google Play devices will transfer to Google TV. So if you already spent your hard-earned money on some content, you will now be able to see it on your big screen instead of just your smartphone or tablet.
Google TV is also finally available outside the United States, so users around the world can take advantage of this cool new features. If you’ve been holding off on purchasing one, now might be the time, as the amount of content available has just gone up by a sizable margin.
