On Wednesday Google announced a few new features and improvements to its existing Docs and Sites services. Google Spreadsheets has received a new shortcut menu that lists all current available keyboard commands. The new feature is visible by pressing Ctrl+/ or Cmd+/ on a Mac, and displays all the relevant shortcuts you’ve been missing out on as an overlay.

Another improvement for Google Docs is support for the conversion of PPTX (the latest Microsoft PowerPoint filetype) to Google presentations either by uploading the file directly or converting as normal from your list of saved documents.

Google Sites has received two enhancements, the first being a new RSS gadget that gives webmasters complete control over appearance alongside their existing site. To add the new RSS gadget to your Google hosted site login, choose Insert, More Gadgets, Featured and select RSS Feed.

Finally Google Sites has received enhanced mobile support thanks to an update to improve how pages render on mobile devices. In future images and logos in the header will scale to fit smaller screens, gadgets and text input areas will be limited in size for mobile devices and sites that use horizontal columns will see their content stacked vertically on mobile devices for better readability.
