The holiday shopping season is literally upon us. For deal hunters, Black Friday is a day filled with no sleep, waiting in lines, and downright insanity. Well Google Maps is hoping to make your shopping experience a little easier with the addition of indoor floor plans for various stores and locations around the world. Google has had this feature available for Android for some time, and they rolled it out in the UK to coincide with the Olympic Games, but now, they are bringing it to desktop.
The feature adds support for all kinds of locations such as shopping malls, train stations, airports, and others. For shoppers, this should help you figure out a plan of attack and get ready for the shopping madness that it upon us. For the people not interested in dealing with the Black Friday insanity, the feature is still downright useful if you need to travel and want to find out the lay of an airport before you arrive.
Google also has a place where venue owners can submit their floor plans to be added to Google Maps. This should help Google expand the amount of places supported by the awesome new feature. In all, Google added support for 10,000 floor plans in Belgium, Canada, Denmark, France, Japan, the United Kingdom, the U.S., Sweden, and Switzerland.

If you want to try this feature out for yourself head over to Google Maps and search for a location. For a list of many of the places added with this new feature, head to this page and have a look.
