Google has grown to such a size that some people may have lost track of what exactly the company offers, and how you can go about using the different features to your advantage. So Google has started a service called “Google Tips” which goes through various Google services, suggesting things you can do and how you can do them. It is actually surprisingly good.
After logging in with your Google account, you will start to see rows of interactive index cards on the screen. Just click one to see what is behind it.
For instance, clicking on the first one – “see what videos your friends are posting (and adjust friendships accordingly)“, makes the card spin around to show the following :
Right away, it shows you the stuff you need, how long it will take, the operating systems it will work on, and of course a detailed explanation of what to do next. So click on “show me how” to see what’s next:
You are immediately taken to Google+, where you are shown the first box, pointing to what you have to do. From there, it’s a simple case of following the instructions, and clicking “next” until the task is finished.
When you click each index card on Google Tips, it is opened in a new tab, so when you have finished a task, it is a simple matter to go back to the original Tips page to try something else.
Try out the Tips offered on the page, and let us know in the comments what you think of it. Are they useful and did you learn something from them?
