Google+ for iPhone has received a nice little update. This update helps bring in some features that were previously only available on the computer version of the social network. The major feature included in this update is the ability to search. You can use the search to find people or specific posts. The new search box will appear right at the top of the screen, making it easy to get access to and use. Simply type in what you are looking for, select either posts or people and click “Search.”

The second feature is improvements to their photo uploading. Now, users can upload full resolution photos from their phone. Previously, the application would decrease the resolution of the photos, and while this wasn’t as noticeable from the device, it was very noticeable when viewing the photos on a computer. Thankfully, that won’t be a problem anymore.

The last feature update is the inclusion of +1 for photos. If you see a photo you like, you can publicly +1 it right from the application. I’m not sure why this feature wasn’t included in the first place, but it’s good to see it there now.

As usual, this update also includes some unnamed performance improvements and bug fixes. As is the case with most updates, no one actually knows what those improvements are.
