In Firefox Speed Dial extension, I could choose which tab I wanted to open by the Ctrl+number keyboard shortcut. That doesn't seem to work here - it takes me to another tab instead. I have to open a new tab, then click on a bookmark. That's an unnecessary step I'd like to avoid. Any ideas on how I can choose a bookmark using only keyboard shortcuts?

I'm trying this extension. I like it except for the fact the thumbnails have a tendency to go blank.

Yes, in the beginning there wasn't an option for getting rid of the "Most Visited Sites" from showing up in the main page. Now there is, simply click on the arrow next to them and uncheck the option from menu.

This Extension, however, is better imo. You can customize how many windows you want (instead of being stuck with 8). And you can tweak it to look cleaner. You can just leave the custom images and get rid of the title and site logo (you already have a giant logo and name on the big preview, no need to be redundant) and check off the Options when you are done. Voilá, a clean page with pretty icons arranged in the way you want.

I'd rather NOT have Google so glaringly show where I've been. Anyone looking over my shoulder, even from across the room, can see where I've been. Which is why I don't use Google's browser. Is there a fix for that nonsense?
