Once in a while, you may need to send out a party, birthday, get together or any other event invites to a group of people. If you are looking for the way to spice up your email with a unique, enticing and event reflecting look, gigya has a solution. It lets you easily create funky emails using videos, slideshows, smilies, games, myspace-style layouts, glitters and more. You can also embed any HTML code that you find on the web (Youtube videos, Photobucket photos and slideshows, Flickr albums, etc.).
Right above email window there is word-like text editor (see below) which lets you easily modify the look of the text.
Gigya is a free service but first you need to sign-up. If you just want to play around and test it out you can do it from here. Email creation and styling process is rather simple, more like ‘choose’ and ‘click to add it’. With sign-up you get own mailbox and gigya email address which will be your-username@gigya.com.
However this doesn’t mean that you are bound to use this email address whenever you send/receive emails. If your present email supports POP3 access (most of them do), you can configure Gigya to use it for sending out emails, simply go to ‘account manager’ and provide your email username and password so that Gigya can access it. If you don’t mind doing that and feel like using Gigya more often, you can actually use it to send/receive emails on a regular basis without changing your primary email address.
When it comes to me, I am usually taking the role of guest rather then organizer. So I am sticking to my Gmail account. There are tons of stuff you can do with Gmail as well, see 50 tools and tips for gmail.
