Do you have a funny video that you want to make a GIF animation out of? If yes, then you are going to need an app called GifCam.
GifCam is a free to use desktop application for Windows computers. The function of this app is to let you create GIF animations. The application comes in a ZIP archive that is sized at nearly 0.7 MB. To run the application, you simply extract the EXE file contained in the archive and run it – installation is not required. When the application opens, you get a resizable frame that can be placed over anything that is happening on your screen e.g. videos and other GIF animations. When you click on the Rec button, the application will begin monitoring changes in the frame region. If a video is playing or if you move the app around, these would count as changes and new frames will be recorded. Alternatively, you can just move the app window around and click on the Frame button to add new frames. When you are done, you can click on the Edit button. This will display all the recorded frames. You can rightclick on a frame to delete it, add a delay to it, and perform a few other interestingly useful GIF creation tasks.
When you are done, you click on the Save button. This will enable you to locally save the GIF animation anywhere on your computer.
