From their website, a quote found on Caspian community board: “…remember milhaven from way back. strange history somewhere in up state new york. ever heard of ‘strawberry alarmclock’? my color theory teacher in college was in a band that opened for them – they did ‘incense and peppermints’. they were a landmark bubblegum pop band back in the 1960’s after a whirlwind career they quit the music industry and moved to germany started a commune and became buddies with this other band ‘das 4’ – that would soon become kraftwerk. members of both bands had kids and got older, the younger generation of kids from kraftwerk and strawberry alarmclock started a new band named after the town in germany where their parents started the commune: milhaven…”

From their homepage: “launched as a one-man studio-project by mastermind matthias ledwinka in 2001, sergeant pluck himself evolved into a three-men-band putting the whole thing on stage. there have been recorded three albums and an ep within the last 9 years including smart singer/songwriter tunes as well as heavy post core tracks. sergeant pluck himself may be defined as an adult progressive pop band with catchy harmonies, complex rhythms and unconventional structures. this is contemporary music for grown-up juveniles and youthful adults.”

Summer Twins – The Good Things

From their homepage: “Summer Twins are sisters Chelsea and Justine Brown. They write dreampop and rock ‘n roll songs with a touch of California sun. Born and raised in Riverside, Ca, the two decided they wanted to start a band from a young age. Inspired by their dad’s old rock ‘n roll records, Chelsea picked up the guitar, Justine taught herself to play drums, and they played in an all-girl band throughout their teens. They formed Summer Twins in 2008, with a focus on singing pop harmonies atop garage rock inspired by the ’50s and ’60s. Now in their early twenties, Summer Twins play live with Marcio Rivera on guitar and Danny Delgado on bass. They are signed to Burger Records and IRMA Records (Japan).”
