Can 10 minutes every day make you smarter? Smartness is a fuzzy idea. But give Curiosity ten minutes of reading time every day and you will definitely sign off as more knowledgeable. Curiosity is designed for iOS [Broken URL Removed] and Android. It is available for free with no in-app purchases yet.

Curiosity reminds me a lot of Google's Fun Fact Easter egg. If you haven't tried it yet, just head to the nearest Google search bar now and type "fun fact". You can also type "I'm feeling curious". See what pops up.

Curiosity is more stylish with beautifully rendered fact nuggets masquerading as articles. But it doesn't overwhelm your stretched memory cells. Every day, Curiosity gives you five topics to learn. Topics are picked at random across the subjects, from Art to Technology.

The Curiosity App

Swipe up to go from article one to five. If you missed the factoids from previous days, catch up by swiping to the left. You can jump to the Daily Digest by Date from the Settings.

Choose any article to read. Articles come from quality sources. Graphics and videos help to make your learning more visually appealing. Related articles and tags can take you deeper into any topic if you are interested. The next time you have a few minutes to kill try out Curiosity.

Set up notifications on your phone if you like the idea of learning something new every day. You can also add the Smart Tab to Chrome's new tab page. Curiosity should be on your radar is you like the bite-by-bite approach of microlearning.

What Did You Learn Today?

I am trying it out with the iOS 10 widget. It's a part of my morning routine now. That's how I learnt that there is a difference between a Hispanic and a Latino. Or there are Olympic games for bionic athletes too. So, download and install.

Tell us: what have you learned that blew your mind?
