It's a convenient place to keep all your calendars in one place. The fact that you can view your calendars from anywhere in the world is great and I've never had such easy syncing with multiple calendars. I mentioned some of this in <a href="http://moreuse.co.cc" rel="nofollow">my blog</a>. Hope you find it as nice as i do. I like working in Plaxo the most. If you don't want to maintain your own copy of Chandler server you can get an account at chandlerproject.org. I use this suite of services because it's the only one that I know that allows for attaching URLs to events and also makes those URLs linkable. The Google API in contrast allows one to add URLs but I have not seen anywhere where they are made visible. I should also mention, if it ain't obvious, that having URLs in an event makes it easy to share information about sites or documents that refer to the event.
