Get Important Reminders Sent By SMS With Remindd
I forget stuff.
This is a fact. There is no way around it, my short term memory is shot – plain and simple!
So, services like remindd (love that name!) are made for people like me! I set reminders in my calendar, I tape post its to my mirror – anything I can do, I do! Except for tying a string around my finger, that only makes me wonder what the string is for!
Now, when I want to remember something, I browse on over to remindd which I found from the MakeUseOf Directory.
You need to sign up, which you can do simply on the homepage.

Once you are logged in, you will see that you have no reminders – that’s not too big of a shock, I hope!

I clicked on the Add a new reminder and typed in a very important thing that I must not forget. I then selected the date and time the event is supposed to occur. You select the date from the calendar and use the drop-down menu to select the time.

Once your reminder is done, hit the Create New Reminder button. That will finalize your reminder. Now, I am sure you are wondering how the hell they are going to text you without your mobile number. Well, that is because we have not set it yet. Without your mobile phone number, the application can only send email messages reminders to you.

So next, I clicked on the settings button on the right hand side of the screen and scrolled down. You will see an option to input your mobile number there. Fill it out and hit the Confirm number button.
As soon as you hit that button, a text message will be sent to your phone. You need to reply it with the word YES. That’s it, you are ready to get reminders on your phone now. Wasn’t that easy and pain free?
