Have you heard of Groove Music yet? It's Microsoft's music streaming service that's aiming to compete with the likes of Spotify, Google Play Music, Apple Music, Amazon Music, and more. You might know it by its former names, Xbox Music and Zune Music.

Between now and December 31, Microsoft is running a special promotion that you can take advantage of to get four months of the service for absolutely no charge. This is a $40 value!

Here's how it works: All you have to do is sign up for a free trial for the Groove Music Pass (which grants you access to the service). Within 30 days of signing up, you'll receive an email with a token that you can redeem for an extra 90 days on your account. That token must be redeemed by December 31.

Note that signing up for the trial requires a valid credit card and the subscription will continue past the four months unless you manually cancel your account before the free period ends. Accounts that have used Xbox Music, Zune Music, or Groove Music Pass before are not eligible for this promotion.

The Groove catalog has over 38 million tracks that can be downloaded and played offline on Windows, Sonos, Android, and iOS. Only one device can stream at a time, but downloads can be stored on up to 10 separate devices.
