  • Price: $349.99; compare to $399.99 MSRP (not including the headphones)
  • Retailer: Motorola – Buy It Now
  • Coupon code: SLICKMTX (via SlickDeals)

If you missed out on the $299.99 Moto X on Mother’s Day, this is the deal for you. I can’t speak to the quality of the headphones bundled in this deal, but the Moto X is (in my opinion) the most user-friendly smartphone on today’s market. It offers a number of touchless, voice-activated controls. My favorite is the ability to switch the phone on, using only your voice.

The 32GB version is available for $374.99 and it includes an NFC tag which will turn your phone on, simply by tapping the phone against the “Moto Skip”. Most users stick the Skip to their wallet.

The MacBook Pro isn’t cheap, and it’s hard finding deals on it. Fortunately this model comes with a $200 discount. It includes a 512GB PCIe solid state drive (what’s an SSD? asus dual band router

  • Retailer: Newegg – Buy It Now
  • Coupon code: EMCPEHC63

This includes the ASUS RT-AC66U and a 1TB external hard drive. The deal expires on 6/2. However, this is a pretty good deal. Dual-band routers, combined with dual-band wireless devices, offer better connectivity reliability and speeds, relative to standard, single-band routers. The fact that it includes a 1TB external hard drive (value of around $50) represents a pretty big discount.

ASUS 27-inch WQHD LED and PLS Monitor

  • Retailer: Amazon — Buy It Now

This 27-inch 2560 x 1440 WQHD (TK) monitor includes PLS LED backlighting, meaning it provides a wider viewing angle than standard monitors.

I don’t anticipate that this deal will last much longer, but if you’re fast, you might get one in time.

Combo Deal: Canon EOS Rebel T3i DSLR Camera + Lenses + Pixma PRO-100 Printer

canon t3i dslr and combo deal

  • Price: $599 (read below for details); compare to ~$1,025 MSRP (YMMV)
  • Retailer: BuyDig – Buy It Now
  • Rebate link: $400 MIR

A similar deal from Adorama showed up last week. This week, BuyDig offers a Canon Rebel T3i, crop-sensor (meaning it crops the edges of an image, degrading its field of view) DSLR. It comes with a lens-kit, including the following: A DSLR sling bag, a 18-55mm lens, a 75-300mm lens

You must purchase the following items:

  • You must purchase a PRO-100 photo printer.
  • You must purchase one of the eligible cameras.
  • You must purchase the photo paper.

You may end up paying less than the $599.99 — it comes with a free $200 printer and a sheaf of $50 photo paper. If you sell these, you may get back around $200 (eBay value). The steep rebate also applies to credit card rewards programs. I actually went in for the Adorama deal earlier in the year and combined it with a $150 cash back deal (Discover IT credit card special) and 2% rewards. After I sold the printer and paper for $100 (it goes for $200 on eBay), the total cost to me ended up being around $281 for a Canon SL1 with a telephoto lens. You can’t beat that kind of deal anywhere.

If it sounds like too much work, don’t do it. If you’re scared of rebates, don’t do it. However, if you do take the plunge, make sure that you get your rebates paid Sick Of Rebates Not Paying? Lexar JumpDrive S50 64GB USB Flash Drive

lexar jumpdrive 64gb cheap

  • Price: $19.99; compare to $94.99 MSRP
  • Retailer: Beach Camera  — Buy It Now

This is the lowest price I’ve ever seen for a USB 2.0 flash drive. There’s not really much information to share about it, other than it dispenses with the removable cap and uses a sliding cap (which can’t be lost). Overall, it’s a great deal if you want a good chunk of USB storage on the cheap.

  • Olympus Stylus 24MP Digital Camera — $79.99 via eBay
  • 32GB Transcend MicroSDXC memory card — $14.99 via Amazon

Conclusion

We have some credible combo deals this week. If you can’t stand the $400 rebate on a DSLR/printer combo, the router-hard drive combo from Newegg offers great value. But if you just want to snag a low cost deal, you can’t go wrong with the Lexar JumpDrive for $19.99.

That’s it for this week folks! Check back next week for the same great deals!
