Get a Pic Next to Your Comments on MakeUseOf & Other Blogs

Oct. 25th, 2008 By Aibek

I’ve received a number of emails asking me how to add an avatar pic to the comment when commenting on MakeUseOf.

See the screenshot below if you’re not sure what I mean.

Gravatar

So how do I get an avatar next to my comments ?

It’s very easy. Simply go to Gravatar, signup, and upload the pic that you want to use as your avatar.

Also make sure that the email address you use on your comment is the same one you use to sign up on Gravatar.

Done!

Next time you comment on MakeUseOf it will automatically add your avatar to the comment. And not only MakeUseOf, but also most other blogs too.

But what blogs does it support? could somebody provide a list of these blogs?

2008-11-15 13:21:02

There’s no “list” as it would be impossible to compile. But a LOT of blogs have gravatars on their blog comments. It’s well worth the effort to have a free gravatar account.

This is a new relationship site (http://www.realnexus.com) that offers multiple profiles with a single sign on and more over allows users to create and share content. You have the freedom to create any of the five different profiles such as dating, business, family, friends etc. Although the site is still under construction it offers variety of sharing mechanisms under the relationship part of the site. Check it out.

Cheers!!!
