Can you think of a song you like? Why not turn it into a little bit of cash? If you don’t mind sharing your favorite song (or any song name, really) with your Facebook friends, you can get $2 MP3 credit on Amazon.

All you have to do is click on the link, enter the name of the song, and click on Share & Claim. Easy. Your answer will be posted on your Facebook account, and the credit will be automatically applied to your Amazon account. Surprisingly, there seem to be no annoying catches to this. Share a song – get credit.

There are several things about this promotion you should know about, though. First of all, you can only participate if you’re in the U.S., or if you have a billing address in the U.S. You must have an Amazon account and a Facebook account, and you must grant permission for the Amazon Facebook app to access your Facebook account. Also, you must redeem your credit by May 24, 11:59pm PST (6:59pm UTC).

Granted, $2 is not a lot of money, but when was the last time you got a couple of songs for free just for sharing your favorite song?

Duh. Amazon and Facebook, two huge companies that make money off information they learn about you, get to share your information with each other. Facebook learns about your buying habits and Amazon learns who your friends are.

If you're OK with that, then there is no catch. I'm not OK with that myself. No thanks.

Haha, well, I haven't seen any. Maybe it's because I barely have friends from the U.S. on Facebook. :)
