Those are very useful links, thanks. Also there are other image hosting services which are paying you when someone views your pictures. But those are very good if you do not want to share your pictures to whole internet.

Bill Minton

ImageShack has a 100 MB per hour bandwidth limit.

Personally, I’m a big fan of Fotki. I’ve done a writeup on them here:

thanks Bill, I had no idea abt per hour bandwidth limit. Also checked out Fotki, looks good.

Zia is great too as it has a FireFox extension to easily upload pix.

quick summary for

* Upload Options: from file or URL
* Max. file size: 3072 KB
* No Bandwidth limits or storage limit
* firefox extension for easier upload

“…image hosting services which are paying you when someone views your pictures”

Wow, that’s sounds interesting, can you post couple of links?

Bill Minton

Here’s the one that pays you –

thanks, I am checking it out. I was just wondering how much do they pay…

fred lapides

I have searched all over and finally settled on a site that costs me 5 bucks per month. But it meets all my needs so it is worth it since I do post manyh photos. Why this site?
1. grab at least ten pictures at a clip (2) adult photos allowed(3) show exact size you will get along with the code to use (4) offers small, medium, large, very large–different size thumbs to pick from when you upload. I prefer larger photos at my site so this is much better than most other uploaders.
you can try it lots of times, free. then you either subscribe or can no longer use it

fred lapides

Agree! I have been all over the place looking for what glowfoto does. Needed the 10 at a time, easy to copy and paste; variety of sizes to choose from; simple to use. Nothing rivals this for my needs.

@fred lapides
While I agree that some people may wish to upload photos which maybe bigger then 1.5 MB, I think it’s rather inefficient way to share your photos. A page featuring couple of such images will take several seconds to load which is generally quite annoying.

Nice list.:)

But i think you should add

– Sam

And also what about Hotlinking, does it allow that ?

I think should be added to that list. They have the same service as imageshack and don’t have a limit on bandwidth or anything.

Almost forgot…

They allow hotlinking as well, no restrictions as far as i know.

@ Benny
thanks lots for the link.
I think we got around 20 with this one.

AD will offer you the following features even for the FREE Account:

-5 Uploads at a time for the free accounts.

-Your pictures do not get displayed in a public gallery on the homepage of the site and are only shared if you want them to be.
-Can Rotate, resize and rotate images right on the site after uploading

You can add to the list, one of the image hosts i am using mostly :)

Thanks for adding it here. I think it’s the only image host that lets you upload files directly from your cellphone (some restrictions apply) . Nice

I use all the time, its great. One of my other favorite is simple & effective for my daily needs.

Those two gets both my thumbs up :)

Thanks for sharing. Photobucket is my top choice as well, however I wish they had released some sort of browser addon to make things faster and more convenient.

I wand Upload images from Mobile

I think Photobucket provides this capability. Some of the others may allow this as well, check them out.

I like each of these services but Photobucket the best because you can send pictures from your cell phone. :)

Try large image host

imageshack and tinypic is pretty ok, but i really prefer No signups and lots of functionality, and none of those irritating popups.

I use I have an account there. They offer 1gig space with UNLIMITED BANDWITH! If you don’t want to signup, you can use their public uploader. The site is clean and refreshing. The control panel is easy to use.

Image Pik

TinyPic is the best choose imo from the lists. Really uncensored and uploaded images load very fast.

Semih Altin – free Image Hosting. designed for you to share digital pictures with friends, post images on message and bulletin boards and blogs. You can also hot link images from your personal website or eBay auctions. You may upload as many images as you wish. The storage period of your images on server is unlimited. Unlimited bandwidth. Actually, Photobucket’s Montly Bandwith limit is 100GB, not 10

PicBonanza offers and is very clean and easy to use. Use PicBonanza to show images and photos in eBay, forums, blogs, web pages and more. Especially good for ebay image hosting.

I use as I think it’s the best image hosting site. No registration required, unlimited uploads, unlimited space, different resize options, you can share the picture with your friends, you can post uploaded pictures to FaceBook, mySpace and other popular blogging platforms and social services within

Highly recommend it!

Nicko is an easy image hosting solution for everyone. Have you ever wanted to share a picture with a friend, or many friends, yet didn’t want to go through the trouble of creating an account at other image host providers, or resorting to something as inefficient as email? With this website, you can easily upload any image from your computer and share it with anyone in the world! The image is stored on the MultiShack server indefinitely.
After uploading an image, the website generates a link to your picture. Copy and paste this link anywhere you want, such as a chat client or message board. In fact, automatically generates the necessary bbcode ([img] [/img]). All you have to do is copy and paste, and the image is instantly viewable. Multiple Image Hosing

Penguin Community

I am sorry to tell you this, but imageshack sucks…

I am the administrator of a community and I had all my images on imageshack and yesterday they just deleted some of my images, from nothing…

i dont know why, and then I had my site all messed up… Fuck ‘em! god damn bastards.. screwed my entire week, now I have to search those images again and upload on somewhere else…

Looks like you are collecting quite a good list of imagehost links here. is another fast one that allows direct linking and no expiry time or bandwidth limits.

Felix Rijkers

You will have several types of links to the photo that you have stored with us including a direct link which makes it suitable to publish the photo anywhere while the links can be also used in websites, blogs and any content management system. You don’t even have to register to be able to upload but registration gives you the benifit of tracking your photos and know how many views did it get and where those views are coming from and the best thing is that it’s all FREE!

I’m surprised no one has yet mentioned Check it out. Free & hotlinking allowed. They do have some size restrictions …

For me to , It’s realy suuuperfast !

HeroUpload <3

It’s soooooo fast !

AllYouCanUpload is not working anymore

Thanks for the lsit. Does anyone know of a site where multiple contributors can submit photos? I want to try out something for my neighborhood – a photo collection of sorts for the community. Your help is appreciated!

Just create one album then share the log in name and password to all members so that all can upload or edit those albums.

For me, the best is still Webshots.

Here’s other:
You can upload as free member or you can register an account.
If you upload as free member you can upload a single image or up to 10 images.
If you are a registered member, you can upload the same amount of images, but you can create your own galleries, with or without password. And you can upload images from ZIP Files too :).

There is CrewImagesX.Com, where you can upload adult images.

Limit: 3 mb each image.

me is good also

I have tried out Imageluv and the fast loading for multiple pictures works well for me.

I think Zwixy should be added to the list too. No limits on bandwidth or space. Hotlinking allowed and all that. Hee’s the linky: Zwixy

Wrapped it in some html :P

For FREE photo storage, DotPhoto is the best. It is unlimited in size (pixels) and numbers of photo we can upload. And speaking of FREE photo storage and sharing, I opt WEBHSOTS. While Flick just allows 200 images, Photobucket just allows 1GB for free members, webshots, in my case as a free member, provides more than 5000 images and adds 100 every month. GBU all!

Did you know you can easily upload your files to multiple free file hosts in one simple click?

Upload once and it spreads it to the different file hosting sites automatically.
(Rapidshare, Megaupload, Easy Share, ZShare, sendspace, Badongo, Megashare and many more!)

Check it out:
Fast, easy and 100% add free!

Sorry… posted a wrong link in the post above..

free image hosting at

Very fast image hosting site. Free and Unlimited everything.

If you register for free, you get a personal photo album to add/remove photos as well.

Update on AllYouCanUpload (October 18, 2009):
They are no longer accepting uploads. Their page redirects you to a related image hosting site called Webshots.

And TinyPic tells me that at the moment I can’t sign up with them. It has done so a few times now, so I imagine that maybe they don’t take new subscribers anymore (but I am unsure of this).

Just to keep you informed :-)

Ill also wanna add

It’s a pretty decent image host, its fast, simple, and you don’t need to register. They also allow hotlinks. Just upload your image, and grab your codes.

Xyzzy the Avatar

AllYouCanUpload no longer exists… It’s now redirecting to Webshots. Boo.

I just used ShareAPixel after seeing it in a comment and was pretty impressed, though… Did what I needed (no-resize, fast site & upload, png image, and hotlinking) with a minimum of fuss, so I’ll be adding it to my little Symbaloo “tools” page! :)

nice work you fund these sites and share with others, but i use , to store my files and other docs online, its very easy to use and no need to register, and no limit, the most i like

What about something free, with hotlinking, 5MB per pic AND hi resolution??? (Like 2000×3000 +)

you can try highly recommended to host any size pictures. to avoid watermark you can register and make an album. Best thing about it is the original image can be downloaded and derivatives are protected from direct download. you can even manage permissions on user albums.

Xyzzy the Avatar

Arrrgh, I heard about ShareAPixel from here, and now this is their current front page:
“Due to abuse of this service, this website and all uploaded images will be temporarily unavailable until january 1, 2010″

Well, back to checking comments here for a good alternative…

Greg W

Simple Image Hosting over at is also a good one. It’s free, with no registration required. 2.5 MB upload limit. If you register, you get the ability to upload multiple Images and make albums.
