Framinco wants you to get geo-creative with its app that allows you to automatically add a location-specific photo frame to your mobile snaps. By reading the geographical information stored within images taken on most modern smartphones, the app matches the location in the photo with a frame fitting for the occasion.

Examples include London’s iconic Big Ben and Tower of London to New York’s Empire State building and sprawling Central Park. For popular locations there’s a decent list of frames to choose from, with more being added all the time. Once you’ve picked the perfect accompaniment to your photo you can share with Twitter and Facebook straight from the app.

  • Frame your pictures using the location information stored in each photo.
  • Peruse a unique collection of geographically-relevant photo frames.
  • Works on both iOS and Android, and is optimized for the new iPhone 5’s bigger screen.
  • Similar tools: PhotoFun, PhotoNova+, LoonapixFramer and ClipYourPhotos.
