If your computer is connected to a network, there will surely be important data folders that you would want to monitor. This could be a folder where you collaborate with others. For monitoring folders you can use a lightweight application called FolderChangesView.

monitor folders for changes

FolderChangesView is a freeware desktop utility for Windows computers. The app does not require any installation and comes as an executable wrapped in a 40KB Zip archive. When you run the application, you can specify the location of the folder you want monitored. The green ‘play’ button in the top left initiates the real time monitoring and keeps an eye for files and folders being created, modified, and deleted; the red ‘stop’ button ends the monitoring process.

Features:

  • A user-friendly desktop app.
  • Compatible with Windows.
  • Monitors folders in real-time.
  • Can monitor subfolders as well.
