If you’re a Firefox user who finds yourself highlighting text, opening Notepad or Text Edit, pasting and saving over and over again then the Highlighted Text To File add-on is perfect for your needs. Using this simple time-saver, it’s possible to save large chunks of text to a directory of your choice without switching between applications.

The add-on supports a wealth of options including adding the page URL, date and time stamps and the option over whether to create new files or use existing ones.
