As a geek you’re bound to have a wishlist packed full of real gadgets that exist right now. And yet fictional gadgets are always so much cooler than those sitting on store shelves.
There are plenty of fictional gadgets to choose from too, with countless books, movies, and television shows having featured them over the years. The question is, which fictional gadget would you sell your soul to own? If selling your soul in return for a gadget was an option, of course.
Real Or Not, I Want One
We want to know, Which Fictional Gadget Would You Sell Your Soul For?
A couple of weeks ago we asked which real-world gadget was currently top of your wishlist. It was a good discussion which resulted in a Top 10 list of coveted gadgets, but it prompted another, perhaps better, question related to gadgets that only exist in fiction.
These are the fictional gadgets that the writer of a book, movie, or television show has conjured up in his or her mind. They don’t exist in the real-world, and maybe never will, but that doesn’t stop us all wishing we could get our hands on these awesome gadgets.
Rather than suggest any of these fictional gadgets and risk overly influencing the results, we’ll just throw the names of some TV shows, movies, and books out there in order to jog your memories…
James Bond, Doctor Who, Star Trek, The Hitchhiker’s Guide To The Galaxy, The Time Machine, Back To The Future, Harry Potter, Iron Man, Men In Black, Minority Report and, of course, Star Wars. These are just a few of the franchises to keep in mind when considering which fictional gadget you would sell your sell for.
Choose just one fictional gadget — the one you would love to own above all others — and tell us the reason(s) it’s top of your wishlist. There are no right or wrong answers, just some amazing responses and an intoxicating discussion. We hope.
