The good folks at Feedly sure have been busy. After rolling out a glut of new features for their Web app, the team has now updated its app to v17 for the iPhone and iPad to bring some of the new functions and give it a whole new look to go with the iOS 7 redesign.
Feedly has always been one of the most stylish mobile news readers, whether on Android or iOS, but the new version looks especially spiffy. The new design is cleaner and flatter, keeping in line with iOS 7’s style, and actually looks closer to the Android version than ever before.
The developers say that they have made the app 300 times faster than before. It also comes with a new Explore section and an enhanced feed search that works like the Web app, where it searches within article headers and returns the first result. If you opt for a Pro account, you can get full article search too.
Feedly has also added better integration for some of the third-party services it uses, such as Buffer, Pocket, Twitter and Facebook. And in case one of your friends isn’t on any of those, you can also share articles by SMS now.
