This week’s poll question is: What’s Your Favorite Release From The Latest Apple Event?

Want to make some extra MakeUseOf reward points? The most useful comment on the poll will be awarded 150 points!

Yes, I know, not everyone cares about Apple. I, personally, don’t own any Apple merchandise except a first gen. iPad I got for my birthday two years ago, but never the less, almost everyone keeps an eye on new Apple releases, and most people can’t help but have an opinion. Do you think the iPhone 5 is awesome, or another boring addition to a boring smartphone family? What do you think of the new iPod Touch? Did you get a chance to check out the new redesign on iTunes? If you haven’t, take a quick look, and tell us: which new addition is YOUR favorite? We may be in for some surprises!

Don’t forget to mention in the comments what you think of all these new releases, what makes your favorite the best, or why you simply don’t care about any of this.

Well, looking at the so called improvements in iOS and Mac OS, I must say it was the Snow Leopard which was the best Mac OS of the time. Lion is great but it takes all things to now boring iOS looks. Apple hasn't done any changes to their iOS or any such OSes and hardware devices for what they used to laugh on Microsoft. There's no notable improvements in iPhone since iPhone 3GS. Most of the features are just for the lux. And even, most of the features are US only or equivalent. Other countries get restrictions. New Mac OS Lion features awkward iOS like scrolling, new Mountain Lion saves all your documents on iCloud by default, great but space? Just 5GB! Even a backup of an iPhone will fill those things up, now some fanboys will come up to say: pay and get more space. Great, it is what Apple is known for, your device isn't complete without extra accessories and services. New MacBook Air/MacBook Pro with Retina Display isn't upgradeable at all, the RAM modules are soldered on the mobo, the batteries are soldered, the screen is 'like' soldered, nothing can be opened because of that elegant so called eco friendly design. And those unimagined eye watering hefty price! Even iPhone with a $400 tag(all inclusive by the latest iPhone 5) sells at $ 833 in some countries. Don't get me started at those things. But yes, Apple do lead in revolutions(do it really?) like retina display, iphone and making touch input mainstream etc. Okay, I've come so far from the topic. I think Leopard and Snow Leopard were the best Mac OS releases of all time and you may add Lion to that at some extent. I really love Mac OS Snow Leopard and have tried both Snow Leopard and Mountain Lion abd based on the experience, I'll go for the Snow Leopard. I don't take iOS simply because it is not productive in real life. One doesn't play with their iPads and iPhones with so many of apps and retina display and HD movie playback ability to earn their money. I'll go for Mac OS Snow Leopard, simply elegant and with what Apple really did revolutionary changes for a Mac OS. Only if they supported Mac OS on non Apple devices...

Apple is losing some of its qualities like keeping the secret of its products, bringing new technology to revolutionize the world.I see iPhone 5 as an answer to large screen Android phones.

I was so excited before iPhone 5 Release..
But it's some feature make me upset as i am expecting more feature.

Front camera:1.2MP with video shoot as well that's great.
Screen Size: its bigger compare to older models.

Camera : only 8MP Same as the iPhone 4S expecting more (LED flash is nice).
    Card Slot: No.
NFC feature is also not included.
It do not support Micro SIM.

Else everything nearly same as iPhone 4S.
I am very much impressed with Apple hardware Quality & their look But they have to add some Feature which today's generation Required i.e Expandable Memory,Faster RAM.

Apple has the best line-up of products than any other manufacturer, so their recent product announcement has put every competitor on notice that they are forced to either play catch-up or find a way to leap over Apple. The only Apple product I own is a first generation iPod nano, but nevertheless, I like Apple for keeping the pressure on the entire spectrum of personal technology to force competitors to continue innovating and improving.

I really don't care about what apple releases... how can they could be so rude, first thing i understood about apple is they cant really face the competition and moreover they are creating a monopoly in the market.

all apple devices are a costly affair tooo...

I think the iPod Nano is the best new generation device, just because the screen is now more usable, and it's the most different from its predecessors than the other devices. The iPod Touch and iPhone models didn't actually change a whole lot, whereas now on the Nano, you can watch videos in addition to music and radio (it's a lot more portable than the iPod Touch (which you still have to treat as an expensive device and take extra care of)). iOS 6 is nice, but also hasn't changed much, and the new iTunes seems like it's just the simpler format that was originally used on the iPads.

I personally like the announcement of the new 5th generation iPod Touch, since there were rumors that Apple was discontinuing the line. After all, the iPhone cannibalizes the sales of the iPod Touch, and then the iPod Touch cannibalizes the iPod Nano and that. However, i'm glad that the new iPod is getting an upgrade this year, unlike last year, where it was only given a white case. I really want a 4th generation iPod Touch for myself, since to me it's the way to go, since in Canada, data plans are expensive (atleast to me) and so I can't get an iPhone. However, I really want Siri, and the other new features coming out, so I'm contemplating upgrading if I happen to have the money to do so.

I'm a fan of iPod Touch. it's like an iPhone without having to mind for something crappy like auto correct. I just wanted to buy the 4th gen iPhone when I heard of not-so-covered new iPods launch along with the longer iPhone. I think I'll just have to wait for some more months to collect more money. or I'll just buy a $ 60 Sony's Walkman.

I think IOS 6. After all it will have features, that we've waited for a long time. Too bad that the first iPad will not get the update...
