Since most of these were real vehicles, as others have said, the article should just state that these vehicles are reimagined. That this is somehow a creative way to bring fantasy cars to reality is inaccurate and makes the article annoying.

A mashup needs to make some kind of sense. This is just two random things stuck together.

I'd love to see a retro Robotech with WWII era fighters...

    Uh, no.

I can let some of these slide, like Wacky Races, Tron, Scooby, and Robotech. And one is a matter of judgement - Easy Rider should be a Huffy banana seat bicycle because the ride style trumps the Schwinn flag.

But none of the rest were over modified cars that "didn't resemble anything".

The Ghostbusters Ecto-1 was a 1959 Cadillac hearse.
The Pussy Mobile was a Chevrolet Silverado SS.
    The A Team used a 1983 GMC G15 van.
The Bluesmobile was a 1974 Dodge Monaco.
And James Bond's was an Aston Martin DB5.

Besides, the A Team in a French van? The Blues Brothers in a British car? And James Bond, Companion in the Order of St. Michael and St. George, hero of the British Empire in an ITALIAN car?!?

"James Bond, Companion in the Order of St. Michael and St. George, hero of the British Empire in an ITALIAN car?!?"
While Cmdr. Bond has used mostly British cars, he has also used cars made by Alpha Romeo, AMC, GM, Audi, BMW, Mercedes, Ford and Saab.
