The Facebook client for Android is more than a little bloated. Generally, it seems to take more time to load with each new update. I don’t know about you, but I prefer to quickly check my notifications, news feed and messages and get off Facebook as quickly as possible. Thankfully, there is an app called Fast Facebook, which takes the bloat out of Facebook and makes it a joy to use.

Fast Facebook does nearly everything the official app does, the only difference is it doesn’t take forever to do it. You can post on friends walls, post status updates, check your news feed and more. It loads images, and is an all around Facebook experience with a beautiful user interface that is properly optimized to work better.

This app is free, and it is a must-own if you are an avid Facebook user. The only features it does not support are push notifications and event invitations, but it is a beta, and the developer has said he is going to add them.

  • Super fast Facebook client for Android 2.1 and up.
  • Does almost everything the default app does, only better.
  • Customize the user interface to your liking.
  • Doesn’t use all the memory and battery of the default app.

Just installed it and am very impressed with speed and interface design. Much faster and easier to use than Facebook's app. Will definitely use for a while and then dump the Facebook product.
I usually use Tweetdeck to check my FB and Twitter streams, but it's a pain to deal with comments and sharing is a major pain-in-the-ass.

Have to agree with the review for this app - its it so much better than the offical app. Loads almost instantly and looks a lot better too.

If only I could delete the official app from my phone - buts its locked in!
