November’s beginning saw Facebook launch a refreshed version of their iOS app. We let you know that it was slick with lots of goodies. The month is not yet up and Facebook has turned over from version 5.1 to 5.2 before you can ask ‘what’s next’. This latest version might seem small in terms of the number after the dot, but you could like the improved usability changes.
Even as you are enjoying the new messaging features and photo upload workflow, you get a new Share link to re-post stories from your news feed with just a single tap. Facebook wants sharing to be just as fast and simple as it is from the web. When you click Share on a news feed story in your Facebook app or on the mobile site, you can re-post the story on your own Timeline for your friends.

You can also tag your friends in any post, comment or photo and enjoy more varied smileys, hearts, and emoji in messages. Facebook is clearly aiming for its mobile app to be as nimble as it is on the web.
Here’s the list of changes in version 5.2 replicated from the App Store.
- New Share link to re-post stories from your news feed.
- Tag your friends in any post, comment or photo.
- Smileys, hearts and other emoji in messages.
- To sort your feed, tap the button next to News Feed in the left sidebar.
