Having a front and rear camera on your phone is a great thing. It allows you to take photos of yourself and use video chat to keep up with your friends. A cool use that I personally never thought of was recording from the rear camera and then overlaying content from the front on top of it. This opens cool video options such as recording what you see with the front camera and doing commentary with yourself in the shot using front facing camera.
If you are looking for an easy way to make this happen eyeReport is app for you.
When you first start the app, it will let you record a clip from the rear camera. When you finish that, it will switch to the front camera and let you record from that. It will then automatically put a picture-in-picture box on the screen so you can see what is contained within both the front and rear camera. You can see the original video in the background, so you can make sure the commentary matches up with what is happening. You can also choose a video that is already in your camera roll and overlay a second video on top of it.
The app comes with sharing options, so you can send your video to Facebook, Twitter or YouTube with just a couple of taps. You can also send the video to a friend through email using the app.
