Evernote Updates iOS App With Better PDF Support & Other Goodies [Updates]

Evernote has rolled out another update for its iOS applications which introduces some awesome new goodies. The new updates adds better support for PDF files, new formatting options, snippets on the iPad, new Evernote Business features, and Evernote Trunk on iPad, which lets you to find other apps that use the power of Evernote.

The most noticeable change you’ll find is a major improvement in the way the application handles PDF files. The update adds a feature that enables you to jump to different pages of the PDF file via buttons on the bottom of the screen. It also lets you to search through documents to find specific items, and adds a dual-page landscape view and a rotation lock to keep the device’s screen in the same orientation regardless of position.

The update also adds new options for formatting. Actually, it adds the ability to get rid of all the formatting offered in Evernote with just a couple of clicks. Users can strip any formatting from their notes and start afresh.

Two of the new features only apply to users with an iPad: The first is called snippets, and lets find your notes easily using a date picker on the right. The second feature is called Evernote Trunk, and can help you find other iOS applications that extend Evernote’s abilities. The items you find using the Trunk are clickable, so you can jump to the App Store and download them right away.

The last part of this update is for Evernote Business users, and adds support for offline notebooks and for Evernote’s Business Library.

    I’ve said this before in comments: There they go, developing for Apple and ignoring Windows yet again.

    I wish they would just admit they don’t care about non-apple platforms.

    Heard about security breach in evernote;had to change password…… What is going on?

    Interesting article!

    Evernote is a very interesting app, I use it quite often at work. Recently I discovered the Evernote Trunk application to import and make annotations directly on the Microsoft doc, it is Beesy: http://www.beesapps.com/features-beesy/evernote-trunk-references-beesy-as-a-productivity-app/

    This is a very good advice offered on Evernote Trunk are now monitoring projects, organizing my ToDo is easier.
