The album has been getting positive reviews in the Irish press. Jim Carroll of thedescribes the music of Pearse and his band the Nocturnes as “wonderful series of gentle songs, atmospheric tumbles, elegant sounds and smart hush-a-byes.” Harry Guerin of writes: “While it would be hard for anything to make up for the damp and defeats of this summer, here’s one guy who’s really trying his best.”
