Sharing a document is simple enough – you upload a file to any file host and share the generated download URL. But if you are dealing with a sensitive document, you want to control the editing rights of the documents you share. You also want to have precise control over who gets to see the documents. Here to offer you that is a web service called docTrackr.

share documents

docTrackr is a wonderful document sharing web service that is currently in its beta stage and free to use. You start by signing up for an account on the site and then uploading a document. Supported document file formats include PDF, DOCX, XLSX, PPTX, and many other commonly used digital document file formats.

After specifying which document to upload, you can choose whether you want to keep the document private, public, or be viewable only to a selected group of people who you invite to view the document via email. You can control who has viewing rights to the document and who has editing rights to it.

A record of your uploaded documents is maintained and you can download any uploaded document from your docTrackr dashboard.

I found the analytic feature to be the most important one, as I often need to track whether or not my documents get read. So this definitely be highly useful for me. Thanks
