Markdown is an easily understandable markup language that uses formatting conventions which people generally use in email. If you are looking for a tool that helps you quickly view what your Markdown code will look like, you should check out a service called Dillinger.
Dillinger is a free to use browser-based editor for the Markdown language. The interface of the site is quite simple to use – the code goes in the left pane and its results are shown in the right pane. Options in the top-left corner of the webpage let you export your code to Markdown (MD file format) or the HTML file format. You can also sign in with your Github or Dropbox account and export files directly to there.
