I believe not … my understanding is that it keeps a record of your tags and which files are tagged, but it’s location based – so if you move the file, you lose the tags Shame cos otherwise I like it. I am thinking of using IrfanView for this but not sure if it writes data to non image files.

The last version of TaggedFrog supports integration with Windows Explorer as well.

I started using picasa to label/tag my pictures but did so only because it writes they keywords into the metadata of the file, so that even if i should switch to another program in the future i will not lose all my precious tags.
Does this program do that as well?

I use tag2find.
TaggedFrog doens’t have integration with windows explorer, so, you must drag & drop files into the application. Also, if you change the file ubication, TaggedFrog loses the file.
