Unchecky – Have you ever felt, while installing software, that the installer tries to push additional unwanted programs at all cost? Ever missed a checkbox, and spent hours afterwards removing adware? Ever opened your browser after an installation, only to find out that you have a new homepage, a new search engine, or even a new browser? Unchecky aims to keep potentially unwanted programs out of your computer.

Sputnik – is a RSS reader for your desktop or laptop computer. Keyboard (and mouse) shortcuts allows for convenient and fast browsing through articles. You can tag any article with any tag you like. All articles are stored on your computer, so you don’t need an Internet connection to read them later. The app keeps all data on your own computer, and only there. No servers somewhere in the Internet involved.

Launchbot – is a neat open-source JavaScript startpage script, which enables you to easily open sets of all your favorite websites with just one click. It’s like restoring tabs, but on any computer and browser. You can also search Google or just quick-launch one of your favorite websites. You can also host it on a web space, so that it is always accessible.

Streak – gives you unlimited tracking abilities for your Gmail account. Get notified the very moment one of your recipients reads your email. See exactly who has read which emails right alongside the thread itself. No more navigating to a separate app, just use email the way you normally do and see who read your emails. See the location of readers on a map, and what device they are using.

Streak is an add on for Chrome. Nothing else. Despite the good reviews I have read about Chrome - still prefer Firefox.

Went to look at Unchecky - and quit immediately. Requires registration to even see what it is all about. No thanks. Kind of defeats what you claim it can do.
